entour\u00e9 d&rsquo;un parc \u00e0 la majestueuse all\u00e9e de tilleuls, donnant sur la falaise du Blot, site pr\u00e9historique d\u2019envergure europ\u00e9enne, le ch\u00e2teau du Chambon, M.H., est construit au d\u00e9but du 15e si\u00e8cle puis humanis\u00e9 au cours des si\u00e8cles jusqu\u2019\u00e0 le rendre luxueux et tr\u00e8s confortable. Edifi\u00e9 par la famille de Blau connue d\u00e8s 1160 pour ses possessions dans la r\u00e9gion de Brioude. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C&rsquo;est, en effet, en 1409 que Guillaume de Blau, seigneur de Gibert\u00e8s, Auvers et Cronce, acheta la seigneurie du Chambon et abandonna son ch\u00e2teau de La Roche-Blau au profit de ce lieu du Chambon, au climat moins rude. La famille s&rsquo;\u00e9teignant au 17e si\u00e8cle avec Fran\u00e7oise de Gibert\u00e8s, le ch\u00e2teau fut vendu \u00e0 un bourgeois de Langeac, Jean V\u00e9al. Sa descendance le poss\u00e9dait encore \u00e0 la R\u00e9volution. <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jean Balthazar V\u00e9al de Blau, brillant officier de l&rsquo;arm\u00e9e de Cond\u00e9 se montra hostile au nouveau r\u00e9gime, et dut \u00e9migrer. Ses biens furent plac\u00e9s sous s\u00e9questre mais il rentra en France sous la Restauration et devint maire de Langeac. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">D\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 sans post\u00e9rit\u00e9, il c\u00e9da ses biens \u00e0 Messieurs de Lastic et de Chazelles.
